In 6 days I will be official 19 years old, the last year of teendom, and the last 12 months I can call myself and angsty teen. At the same time that an era is coming to an end I see a new era of twenty-somethingdom coming about. Ring?

...

Seems like a lot of reasons to not be with him. Honestly, if you're not okay with him in public and your friends don't really have the best impression of him, then it is better to break it off. You even stated so above that he's going to hold you back from what you want. That doesn't seem like a very good relationship.

I don't know, I've always been honest with you and I believe you deserve much better than Joel. I want you to do what's best for you.

Yeah... =\ I kind of agree with Erin - I don't really have anything against Joel (except the skanky flute chick incident), and he's shown that he does really care about you, but it seems that you definitely have a lot of doubts about this and a commitment ring is just going to make things more confusing I think. I also agree with Libby in that you could probably find someone more compatible, especially someone who wants the same things and the same level of success as you want out of life. But, again, I'm going to agree with Erin and say that I want you to do what's best for you too!

1) I am reaaally sorry I didn't make it last night! I didn't even get off until almost 11 and with goinghome to change it would have taken me til probably 12 to get out there and I figured by then the party would be almost over. Plus I had church the next day.

2) I don't think Joel is going to get into Purdue. Even if he is doing well at MCC it isn't going to make up for his high school track record.

P.s. I don't have a problem with Joel personally, you know that, but I do think you could both find someone more compatible.
