People annoy me

Disclaimer: This isn't directed to just anyone who happens to disagree with me, it's more the how I've been seing it said than what is said (about the recent spoilers and chapters). I don't care if people don't like where the series seems to be going, or if you think Kishi should have done something different - that's perfectly fine by me. Just ( Read more... )

Ha, thanks for the support!

I won't even go into how people keep saying Naruto and Sakura are the main guy, main girl. WTH happened to Sasuke then? He got a lot more panel time than Sakura (sorry Sakura!), and it's always about the three of them, plus Naruto relating to others.

I was also just thinking how it's ironic that Sasuke is portrayed both as emo and a cold, heartless bastard. Can he really be both? XD

... You know, I don't think Sasuke can be both. You're either cold hearted or emo. And to be honest, Sasuke's neither-- he's just mentally challenged becuase everyone he cares about was killed. Sometimes it makes me think he's scared of getting close to people because he fears it could happen again.

Main guy and main girl? Ugh. Sakura gets as much panel time as Tsunade. Does that make Tsunade a main girl? God. That makes me mad. It may just be the SasuSaku in me, but honestly, if Kishi were to throw out the development of his characters thus far just for a 'normal' shounen ending, I'd forever hate him. A lot of the manga is about achieving goals-- which should be wrapped up in the end. What are the goals of our main three?

Naruto-- Become Hokage and be Acknowledged
Sasuke-- Kill Itachi and Revive his Clan
Sakura-- Be with Sasuke and become a strong kunoichi (was brought about later in the series)

That's what they've all been striving for the whole series :/ You can't just throw that out.

I know what you mean - fandom makes you competitive and want things just to screw people over. I'm glad I didn't decide to try out forums until a good ways into Part 2, otherwise who knows how I'd actually view the series. After debating for so long, I actually had to stop and start rereading the manga just to remember how things really went - it's weird how far removed you get.

VotE sucked me in except for the weird animation and I loved where it took the story.

Oh man, couldn't agree more.

Sasuke beat Naruto at the Valley of the End, and ever since then people have been clamoring for Naruto to return the favor. And now that it seems he won't, Kishimoto is suddenly a terrible mangaka because he's not writing the story along the lines of how they want it to turn out.

Never mind that Naruto's victory over Sasuke, if you keep to the themes of the manga, shouldn't be physical, but instead mental and spiritual. Sasuke's redemption can only happen if and when he's finally convinced that Naruto is right, not that Naruto is stronger than him. Sasuke being strong doesn't mean that Kishimoto has his head on backwards and is ruining everything we love. Jeesh.

I....rant out of words. Um...yes, while there is a physical rivalry between Naruto and Sasuke, there's a lot more to it as well. And as you say, Sasuke shouldn't be convinced physically, but mentally, spiritually, emotionally - while Kishi often has character-changing epiphanies during battles, it's the emotional side of it that really causes the change. In some cases, it took Naruto surprising them by being able to pull the strength to beat them, but I don't think that's the case with Sasuke. Naruto becoming as strong as/stronger than him is part of what pushed him to leave in the first place.

I'll just simply say, "WORD" because I don't want to expound upon the idiocy of the fandom.

It nearly killed my excitement for the next chapter. I never should have bothered looking in the first place at a time like this.

It's like the whole hard work vs. genius thing. The message wasn't that hard work will win over genius, but that hard work can win over genius.
THANK YOU.

I have issues with the Shikamaru arc. LOTS OF ISSUES THAT ARE WANKY. However, I feel that people are judging the arc to fast. And they should put down the manga if they hate it.

I don't agree with all your points on the Shikamaru arc, but there were enough things off that bothered me. But yeah, people are judging things before it's even played out, and aren't really giving good reasons within the manga's context, just how they want it to play out (which we all have, but you should know the difference and most people don't, or at least don't make any distinction).

I'm just reading CLAMP and waiting out the arc - which I've been happy with so far.
