O.o Interesting. Yeah, there are some white nerds... the only reason there seem to be more Asian nerds at MV is because there are more ASIANS at MV. -__-

Hahaha, lovely logic. But still, that's the general perception: being Asian affords you some kind of intelligence.

Thats only true for our community. It's because house prices here are ridiculously high, so only the smartest asians can afford to move and live here, because they're the ones with the best paying jobs. Then, theres the fact that we all chose to congregate in this one place. So of course being asian in this community generally means that we (or our parents mostly) are overly intelligent.

I love how they totally remade Ridin' by Chamillionare xDDD

Well, you're making a connection between intelligence and wealth (but since that is statistically true, I'm not going to debate that point. :]).

Yes, I know. But that's still a general perception throughout the United States... that Asians are smart (primarily at math). Ever seen Mean Girls and the "Asian Nerds" clique that was presented? It wasn't exactly specific to our community. And yes, I know that that's just one example, but look at the media, and you'll see. (I'm sure you already have.)

Really, I'm the one surprised that you listen to her. (I always thought you were more of a J-rock type of girl. XD

Oh yes, she's awesome. She's the friend of my sister, actually, so I was able to see a concert of hers (a relatively small affair at a quiet venue in Saratoga) while being on the guest list (a.k.a. for free). Did you buy her CDs...?

Yeah I used to be a big fan of her before I hit the J-rock craze, I think it was back in my Naruto/anime obsessing days.

Anyways, I never did buy her CD's, I just got everything off her website.

Yeah... white nerds /do/ exist... and asian people who fail exist too. My cousin is proof... he almost failed a grade. xDD The Singapore schools are probably harder than the ones here... but still...

It depends what subject. I agree that Singapore probably has the best math and science classes in the world (although, admittedly, their top ranking may be due to the small population of their nation), but in the case of literature and history, well, let's just say that certain books are banned in Singapore, and that the government (which, for all intents and purposes is a monarchy) does not want their people to get ideas from philosophers. Hell, it's written on their tax forms that the man is the head of the household.
