" Folded up on the seat was his beloved question mark suit, with his patent leather green oxfords nestled beside them. Riddler ran to them as if meeting a lover and fell to his knees before the throne, crushing the suit to his chest."

"I don't care if I'm locked away a hundred times as long as I have your eyes on me, but how could you understand? You know the criminal mind but not the criminal heart."

I'm still giggling. XD

Great fic! <3 All the Gorshin goodness! ALL OF IT!

And Jane Doe. That really does explain a lot, but we knew this.

Oh my god, this fic. I don't think I can leave a coherent review, but I just have so many feelings about this fic.

This canon! Riddler's manic highs! His speeches! Both of them pining after the Batman and his attentions! You really made them speaking about being in love with Batman work and make sense with regards to their own minds and the way they work... Your prose and dialogue are just gorgeous too, ugh. All the little details. ♥

And... I am super biased but I love, love, love Jane Doe. I was so excited to see you use her in this, I kind of shrieked a little. And you wrote her so wonderfully! You managed to make her fit in this universe, and this version of her works and is charming and just... This whole thing makes me so happy, aaaaah. ♥

And I was gonna quote the very end because it's just perfect, but then I realizing that if I quoted what I considered absolutely perfect about the "very end" it'd be like... the last five paragraphs in their entirety, so. LET'S JUST SAY THE WHOLE THING WAS MAGNIFICENT AND LEAVE IT AT THAT.

Eeeeeeee thank you. ^_^

I fucking love writing Riddler. He's got a very clear voice and he's incredibly dynamic. I've been in manic states myself and I can very much relate to what he's going through.

I was so excited to see you use her in this, I kind of shrieked a little. And you wrote her so wonderfully!

Eeeeeeee. <3 Thank you. The train of thought basically went "Why does every woman in this city fall for such a blatantly chaste and socially awkward man in tights?" -> "Maybe they're all the same person, lol." -> "Hey, wait a minute, wasn't there this one chick in the comics...". And so now this is my fanon ( ... )

And I love reading your Riddler writing, so it's all good! You've managed to find a very strong voice for him, so I can definitely agree that you're doing it right.

That is a VERY GOOD FANON. God, it would never have occurred to me, but for a kind of cracky theory it makes a surprising amount of sense!

If you'd like, I have a download for all of Living Hell... I MEAN COUGH. You did a really good job! Her being a serial killer who cuts people up to steal their lives fascinates me, but it definitely wouldn't have worked in 60's Batman-land, so this version makes a whole lot of sense ( ... )

omgomgomg yesplease. <3 I'd put it up on mine but uh...nobody follows it. I just use it to keep track of all the IC blogs and art blogs I like on there. And reblog things.

It's probably my favorite 60's Batman fic

Only because I'm pretty sure it's the only one. At least the only one done with any modicum of seriousness rather than parody.

Jane's a mind I really want to play with more but I have no idea where to run with the two of them. If a plot comes along, it comes along.

I've read this a few times now and I love it more every time. You capture Gorshin's nonverbals so perfectly--the thumb-biting! The dancing steps! The hunching and expostulating! It's a perfect joy, and the psychological touches seem so spot on, like his gleeful embrace of manic insanity, and the pure rapture of his reunion with his suit. Jane is also gorgeous, I can see them together the way you write them, and I'm totally smitten with your writing.

eeeeeeeee

Coming from you that's some sincerely high praise. Gorshin's body language is what sold me on his Riddler, he acts so passionate about damn near everything.

Oh, this was beautifully written. Gorshin lives again in his mania and his sheer, giddy DELIGHT in himself.....

I adored this -- thank you so much!!!

Thank you so much! He's a handful to write like that, but he's so fun.
