I think the moral of the story is I need to stop going out with women who organize based around sexual orientation and stick to socializing with geeks.

Heh, pretty much the conclusion I came to partway through secondary school. I'm particularly wary of all-female groups of strangers because my real-life experience has tended to be that women make worse company than men, something that the whirlwind of drama surrounding the group of females I initially tried befriending at college only cemented. I went back to hanging out with male classmates and never looked back.

Female geeks on the other hand? At least we have a common starting point.

Sorry the event was a letdown, but I want to say I am so proud of you for sticking up for the hoes! Not that that word is in any way appropriate, obviously, but you know what I mean - GO YOU. <3

And if I ever happen to be in America when the Folsom Street Fair is on (isn't it San Fran, though, not Seattle?), I will totally come with you if you like, as that sounds fucking awesome. *love*
