I can't get over the Changeling Queen's design and those holes she's got everywhere. Even in FiM's cutesy animations style it's a little chilling.

I want to write fic for it where Sweetie Belle actually does get Changelinged - one of the Changelings manages to stay in her place, and SB gets swept off to the Changelings' home (I envision a massive cave where they sleep like bats). She's too little for them to care much about, but Princess Fakeypants thinks that having even just one Changeling in Ponyville could be handy as a spy, since maybe they can attack Ponyville instead of Canterlot next time due to it having fewer defences.

Our adorable magical pony show being what it is, however, Changeling!Sweetie Belle starts to take on the characteristics of Real!Sweetie Belle rather than being capable of being a nasty evil spy, and in the end leads Scootaloo and Applebloom to the Changeling cave to rescue Real!Sweetie Belle. I'm imagining that Changelings potentially have a psychic connection to the pony they replaced if they only replaced one, so that they know how to pretend to be that pony.
