As I put together the post for the Scarecrow/Riddler photoshoot I am reminded of a bit of shared headcanon. Most of the fanon I see of Scarecrow seems to have him as either asexual, sex averse, or very private about his sexual preferences. Me, the dapper Riddler, it took five minutes but she had a full hour AND a grievous injury just getting the costume on.

O_O How grievous are we talking here? *concerned!* Please pass on my sympathies, I hope she's okay!

Well.

The mundane part of the story is that while putting on the medical tape for her hands, she cut herself on the scissors. The part which makes me adore her is the part where she bled copiously and then incorporated it into the costume.

I have passed them on.

Double badass, actually. We were both getting sick around this time of the visit, her worse than me, and she's going about in that getup and a gas mask. The timeframe of the shoot was basically limited by how long she could reasonably stay upright. I wrote and A2 photographed, but she did the real work in this.

Okay, cutting yourself while getting in costume and deciding to use the blood is pretty much the best thing ever.

time for 26 carefully placed belts but can't put on a goddamn pair of shoes.

o_O This is just the kind of thing I love about comics, how completely sanity-free the designs tend to be. And not the usual kind of sanity-free...I'm just cracking up imagining Crane meticulously buckling two dozen superfluous belts and then saying "Eh, whatever" when he gets to his feet.

Lauren hypothesizes that they're leather restraints from gurneys and whatnot, since technically they're too small for proper around the waist belts. Which merely adds to fetish factor. And he's got self-adhesive gauze (or at least that's what Lauren used) wound around his feet, which would take even more time than shoes!
