This week's been a hell of a whirlwind. C2E2 happens, in all that glory. I get free movie tickets from one of our dogs' families, I fuck up the feeding and Dogboss rightly calls me on the mat for it so I spend the rest of the day having a small panic attack. A 'conning I shall go.
Yesterday was my debut performance at C2E2. The cooler panels were Friday and Saturday, but I had no work Sunday so it was Sunday that I went out for a little riddling.
( What's green, rides the number three bus to McCormick Place, and finds purple tights to be surprisingly troublesome? ) -

Turns out I'm pretty good at this cosplay thing.
It took the combined efforts of A2, A1, myself, and some 11pm felt cutting but we managed to get my Rule 63 Riddler costume done in time for C2E2 today. I look fabulous and apparently half the under-twelve population of the convention seemed to agree, I kept getting swarmed by small children wanting pictures.

Fair warning, guys, this is gonna be pretty self-focused and decadent. I'm not trying to make any major point or prop myself up as ~enlightened~, I just needed to get my thoughts out. Riddling proceeds apace. The hat has arrived, the tie will be here when I get back from visiting my parents and I've gotten some sticky felt so I can do up the question marks. On the heels of claiming my second queer_fest prompt, I kind of wish there was something similar for mental illness issues. The point of the fest is Our Favorite Characters dealing with Our (Queer) Issues, or just to explore how their canons would handle such matters.
