There is nothing quite like a long road trip to remind you that you are not 25 anymore, and long road trips take a lot out of you.

Have spent most of the day sleeping thus far. Really, really glad I chose to request that extra day off...I probably would've ended up calling in sick, if I hadn't.

Yeah. I'm half glad that I didn't have to go from the airport to my job, thanks to weather delays.

Then I remember that because I couldn't fully brief my subs, I scared my physics students with calculus, which I regret.

Now I know NOT to count on half days when I travel, even if it means asking for more favors.

I have learned the hard way that you can nearly plan on travel plans going awry, especially when flying. But I can understand why you wouldn't want to ask for more, since it's a new job and all.

Hopefully this will mean your students breathe a huge sigh of relief and are glad you are back. :)
