PUPPIES! We've had lots at the shelter, but that's--pretty normal. Plus, we're still trying to get rid of the last of three separate litters--and we're almost there. We've got two left of the in-bad-shape pitty-lab crosses, three of the fluffy lab-and-maybe-shepherd-black-and-brindle puppies, and two of the not-beagle-but-probably-some-hound puppies. ALMOST THERE.

But rottie puppies, oh my gosh, that sounds TOO ADORABLE. Actually, puppies in general are just TOO ADORABLE. One of the sad pit puppies (now less sad because she's been with us for a while and actually, y'know, gained weight and fur) sat in my lap while I entered rabies tag information for a full hour last week, and it was adorable beyond ALL BELIEF.

That's fantastic about your doggie! I'm impressed--I don't think most dogs change their opinions about cats like that. But yaaaay!

Also, interesting about your RA. Just up and quit? Got fired? I think both of those have happened somewhat recently at my school, but that's pretty big, right in the middle of semester...

If I could I would adopt more animals. As things stand, my family's feeding neighborhood cats, my dog, and my stepfather's red golden retriever. As much as I usually dislike them, I'm thinking of getting a bird when I leave the dorms. Animal-sitting over the summer made me fond of my aunt's two, even though the parrot would just as soon take my finger off as talk to me. One whistles at me whenever I come over now, and the other mimics my laugh ( ... )
