Blaziken.  Why?

The first time I played through Ruby, I got to the starter choice and realized that I didn't like any of them.  Since I default to Fire when I can't choose, Torchic ended up in my party.  Somehow, my little Phoenix ended up becoming totally kickass as he grew up.  Blaze Kick and Double Kick are how we beat the Elite Four the first time through.  When I moved on to the next generation, I migrated him to my Diamond, where he's chilling, having finally reached level 100.

While most of my love for Blaziken comes from my first one, I'm just fond of their looks, overall.  They're one of my favorite type combos (even though it leaves me weak against Ground (Fraggin' Earthquake!  You are why Groudon and Blaziken suck as a double battle combo!).  Putting a Shell Bell on a Blaziken with Double Kick in 3rd Gen was the easiest way to regenerate its HP quickly (as the Shell Bell restored HP after every hit in 3rd Gen; they have "fixed" this in 4th Gen).
