So I have my own copy of Dragon Age and I decided that I wanted to be friends with everyone in my party.

No not "friends, wink wink nudge nudge" but friends, like a nakama.

So i talk to everyone, give them gifts, do their special quests and apparently the game decides that my character has a thing for Zevran when she's been with Alistair all this

Zev just likes to do it, man. I was "just friends" with him on my human female noble and we were like best buddies even tho I shot him down. Could have also been that I was straight up Alistair's woman on that playthrough, tho. lol

My first playthrough I played it the way you did, too - making friends with all my companions and whatnot - and you know? Sten is my BFF, even though I was careful to make my male elf super gay. lol

OH, also, if you're playing a male character and you start to romance Leliana, she gets all weird when you break up with her, acting like nothing ever happened... I thought it was just a bad dialogue tree, but in actuality, she's just a nutty girl to break up with. I didn't even try to romance her on a female character because I don't really like her... lol

I thought I was Alistair's woman too, that's why I was so surprised

I thought she was kind of cute in an "I need attention so I'm going to pretend the Maker talks to me" kind of way.

You know, I would be a lot happier if we could have a romance with Sten. Alistair is funny but he's too mushy for me.

I'm gonna do the Zev romance on my next playthrough I think.
