Just over three years ago, "Just Be Friends" was released to my heart's utter emotional devastation, lol. Recently, its sequel, "Answer", has been released, and since I posted about the original song when it first came out and it's come to hold so many precious memories and feelings for me, I'll post the sequel as well

I have always found "Just Be Friends" to be a bit cruel because of how depressing it is, despite the very upbeat music. Despite that, it is one of my favorite vocaloid song.

Thus, when I found the 'sequel' to that song, I was excited but also nervous.

I teared up listening to this, the nostalgia feels very real.

This song probably made Just Be Friends and Answers my most favorite vocaloid songs now. :)

I think that's part of what made "Just Be Friends" so catchy, the little bit of lyrical dissonance if you compare it to how upbeat it sounds. "Answer"'s melody is definitely much more fitting for a post-break-up song, though it's interesting to compare it to "Just Be Friends" and find that it's such a hopeful song for its melancholy tune.

I think I cried as hard as I did the first time I listened to "Just Be Friends", haha. They're also definitely on my top favorites. ;w;
