A while ago my partner and I were having one of those moments where we weren't seeing eye to eye on things.  And in one of our many talks about what we could do about it, I remembered something from a friend about this book.  We both heard of the book to a degree, and decided to look into ( Read more... )

I think you have your facts mixed up a bit, but I won't chew on you about it, only to say that we didn't get this book because WE were having issues, I picked it up from the library in hopes that it would help us understand our KIDS better. We were pretty much already in the know regarding ourselves, but it did clarify some things. I'd say I have very small cups. LOL I think that the average person reading this blog is not going to understand a word of what you're saying though, so to those people GO GET THE BOOK. It is written from a Christian perspective so that appeals to some people, but it's easily ignored by we heathens. =)

p.s. There is laundry in the dryer. *wink* Kidding. I got it.

Oh, I was sitting there for a while trying to remember why we go it. Then since I couldn't remember exactly when I figured it had to have been related to a rough patch. My bad :(

I hope it inspires people to check out the book. It is definitely worth the read.

p.s. Fortunately I would easilly take care of that. Unfortunately I am not home. :(

Fortunately you have my awesome memory to help jog yours.
Unfortunately that makes it look like I was trying to be right.
Which I am, but still. Ahahaha. <----too funny I think I've had too much sugar today. Fluffy white frosting, FTW.

Aaaanyway...YES the book is awesome and I think it should be a required read for everyone. I didn't really like his other books, though...the ones for teens and children. They all kinda seemed like watered down versions of the original. I figure, read the original and then apply it as needed in your other relationships.

I don't really think we've had many rough patches. In the two years, I can't recall more than a handful and they certainly weren't anything that lasted more than 30 minutes. YAY US!
