I've been re-reading the Hitchhiker's Guide (the six-book compendium) lately. It's interesting because I really don't see what all the fuss is about. They are witty and funny books, but I remember people always quoting from them like it was Socrates or something, and I really just don't find it to be that profound. So you're an Athiest, Mr. Adams, and think that everything is random and people are just groping for meaning - I get it. But let's not call it Grand Wit.
I only read non-fiction. I have issues with getting into stories, letting my imagination go...same sort of thing with video games, TV, and movies. It's just not something I dig. When I read, I like to be learning something...and non-fiction is all about the education. =)
