Xanth book 1 pt 1

This book is one of my older favorites. I read it back in highschool through a recommendation from a good friend; Miran. He was on book 3 or 4 when I grabbed book 1. I got to book 7 or so before the delay in receiving them in our libraries killed the interest over other shinier things in my life.

This part I will talk  a bit about chapters 1-4.

I'm totally digging this book, which is a HUGE stretch for me because I very rarely read fiction and NEVER fantasy! Piers style is somewhat difficult for me to read....in parts there is too much description, as if he's over-fluffing things, but I think that may be because this is the first book of the series and he's trying to set the stage, so to speak.

I love Bink! He is sweet and kind and intelligent. His heart is pure....we saw that when he didn't stay with Iris. Yay for that. I hope he doesn't meet up with her on the way home. Grr.

I think we are similar to Bink & Sabrina...at least that's my take on it so far!

Yeah I was going in saying wow, he sure is describing everything in alot of detail...

But I hope you like the book all the way through the end. :)
