Well, that's a difficult question. Religion means many different things to many different people. In general it can be taken as established rituals developed as a way of expressing, affirming, or understanding faith, which is usually placed in a higher power, for example, an intangible god or spirit. There are many groups of organized religions, the members of which follow more or less the same doctrines and religious ideas. Religion is, in general, a very personal experience, though, so even if two people belong to the same organized religion, they might not share all the same views.
