Daily Sports article, dated March 1, 2006.
Just about all the Japanese newspapers were talking about the added concerts today, and as I said in the previous entry, it's been established that KAT-TUN will perform "Real Face" on Music Station on March 10, 2006.
But in the link above, there is a paragraph which states that on the following Friday, March 17, 2006, the group will again appear on MS...*live from their Tokyo Dome debut concert*! That is way cool, and I suggest to everyone who already marked March 10, to double-mark March 17!
I thought the Shuji & Akira era was over, even though "Seishun Amigo" is still in the top 30 on the Oricon charts. I was wrong! They are going to appear in this NHK event on March 2:
Click here for NHK 家族で選ぶにっぽんの歌 page. Err, I think they're the only "young" artists appearing. Practically everyone else on the bill is a veteran (mostly enka) singer.
Yes, I'm a new WaT fan. So I'm paying attention to the media with regards to them too.
Click here for Yomiuri article about WaT. In a ceremony at the Aoyama Diamond Hall, Ei-chan & Teppei, only four months after their major debut, won the Golden Arrow award as (I think) best new artist. I don't think it's just for their music though, because the article talks about Ei-chan's variety show appearances and Teppei's dramas as well as their history as street musicians, the major debut, the Kouhaku mic incident, etc.
I hope that at some point the ceremony is shown on TV (I want to say it'll be on TV Asahi, but I'm not sure at all). Omedetou WaT!!
