White Noise?

Does anyone ever suddenly get this weird ringing in their ears like I am experiencing right now? It happens to me about maybe once every couple of weeks... usually when I'm on my computer and usually I think when I'm upset about something. It's really loud, like almost taking over my thoughts and it's just static. Very strange. It's kind of
