Name: Seira Asagiri
Age: Sixteen
Star Sign: May 08 //
Grade Average: B / B-
Orientation: Heterosexual

History:
The Asagiri family has undergone drastic financial roller coasters, so Seira's been lucky enough to experience the best and the worst of both worlds, of poverty and wealth. Most of this took place in Okinawa, where Seira lived until she was fourteen. Luck, management, and family matters have all played a role in this joyride, in which lotteries have been won, money's been mistreated, and that one divorce didn't sit very well with either her biological father or mother. As of now, Seira's father has primary custody of her, and due to his work they're living in Odaiba in an itty-bitty apartment.

As is the case with most children, Seira has been led to believe that the divorce between her parents was her fault. Such is why she was dependable on her sixteen-year-old boyfriend at the time. They didn't keep in touch for very long after she moved away.

Her father is remarried, and the three of them will go out of town every other weekend or so and go mountain climbing. Her mother is remarried with a child in Hokkaido.

Appearance:
Seira isn't so much eccentric as she is independent. Like anyone, her personality reflects her fashion and physical appearance. She's normal-height and fairly thin, so she often dresses herself in clothes that accentuate the form but modestly cover the body-- stylish, but still very her. Her hair is sometimes dyed auburn or brown and sometimes its natural black, sometimes she wears bangs and other times they're grown out. It depends on the time of year.

Personality:
Nothing is more important to Seira than a sense of her own pace. At times she'll be the slowest creature on earth, lagging behind because she doesn't "feel like" moving, but if something is going too slow for her, then she'll get annoyed pretty easily. Always marching to the beat of her own drum, she doesn't give much for what's going on around her, so long as she's free to do what she wants in her own time. This will result in her being late for things on a few occasions, but word is that being late is fashionable these days.

Otherwise, she's a leader in that she knows what she's doing and can coordinate things easily. If she isn't in the position to lead, then she'll find an opportunity to get her two cents through and then see what happens after that. Seira isn't particularly loyal, but she'll do what seems right to her. What she thinks makes the most sense, so if no one else can recognize her train of thought, then that's their cross to bear. She'll still toss someone under the bus if they deserve it.

Her attitude is low-key, so she doesn't attract too much attention. She enjoys doing nothing as much as she enjoys mountain climbing. In a good mood, she can put up a good conversation and her wit isn't so limited. Still, if something or someone is annoying her, she won't be very polite about it.

As for little details:
- She particularly feels all crappy-pants when she's on her menstrual cycle. Her father insists that she gets medication for it.
- She's a stress smoker. After all the frenzies of her family divorcing and remarrying and bearing children and moving all over the place, she picked up smoking for those particularly stressful days.
- Her voice is unique. For someone cool and calm, she has a pretty eccentric voice. It's nasally and a little high-pitched, but oddly fitting for the way she speaks.
- She's not too great with technology. Her way of fixing a television or a computer is hitting it until it works again. But, once past the technicalities of consoles, she's a killer gamer and avidly uses her television for movie-watching.
- With Jun's budget, she's exposed to all sorts of gourmet delicacies in Hokkaido, so her food repertoire is slowly but surely expanding.
- She has a license to drive, but she doesn't have a car. Not a stellar driver, anyway.
- She broke her left arm in a mountain-climbing accident, and only recently got the cast removed. Seeing as she isn't one for excuses, she'll push herself when she's determined to accomplish something physically straining, much to the dismay of her physical therapist.

Strengths:
Physical Strength • Seira's a pretty strong girl. Because of her mountain climbing, she's gained physical will and is alright with getting herself bloody and dirty if she has to.

Certainty • She knows what she likes, and she knows what she wants. Not much of a second-guesser.

Self-identified • Not too much on the side of humiliation. She won't get worked up if someone witnesses her making little mistakes, and if clothes were optional she'd roam the earth in her birthday suit. But alas.

Weaknesses:
Detachedness • Her independence may or may not be the death of her. She doesn't share her problems, nor is she interested in doing so. While she may have good friends, they certainly aren't filled in on her personal burdens. She tends to come across as a flat person.

Tunnel-visioned • When she's set on something, it's all she'll think about. Seira has a tough time letting go of the past and is determined to fix things should she royally screw up. She harbors several regrets, which sometimes tend to bog her down.

Physical weaknesses • Weak left arm - She recently got her cast taken off of her left arm after a mountain climbing accident. She's been visiting her physical therapist on a regular basis, but it's significantly weaker than it used to be.
Menstrual cycle - Everyone knows when Seira's on her period when her face is planted into her desk, her arms are curled over her stomach and she takes fetal position instead of participating during P.E. She is not a pretty thing to behold during that time of the month, and heads will roll if anyone bothers her.

Notable Interests:
- SASUKE (as well as Kunoichi). // Translated to Ninja Warrior in English, this is her favorite show and one that she will watch and record avidly. She's been to a SASUKE tournament (as a spectator) only once, but it was the best experience of her life. She has an unconditional love for the popular competitor Makoto Nagano.

- An avid movie-goer. Seira will always be up to date on the latest movies of any genre. It's a quiet way to spend her spare time, and it makes for good conversation in those pesky moments called awkward silences.

- In spite of all things, Seira is a little bit of a romantic. While she's no matchmaker or constantly involved in a relationship, she can be caught reading a romance novel or romantic poetry.

Overnight Bag:
Toiletries; CD player and headset; journal; camera; ID card and wallet; extra clothes and shoes; pillow and fleece blanket; two novels (romance and fantasy); a pack of mint-flavored cigarettes and a lighter.

Family:
Shino Asagiri: Seira's father. He was a fisherman when they lived in Okinawa, though now that they're more inland, he's a monger. Very reliable when it comes to selling fresh, high-quality fish. As a father, he spends enough time with Seira. Both of them avoid anything touchy-feely, so they're more like convenient, familiar company.

Ruri Asagiri: Seira's stepmother. They share a pretty alright relationship. Ruri taught both Shino and Seira how to mountain climb, and it was because of her movie library that Seira was able to find appreciation in them. She hasn't pushed herself on her, and she appreciates that. Ruri is a grade school teacher and two months pregnant.

Yuya Hoshino: Seira's biological mother. She'll visit her in Hokkaido, but because she hates the cold, visits are only every once in a while. Their bond is lacking; very awkward and detached, but conversations are good and long when they do occur. Yuya is a stay-at-home mother.

Jun Hoshino: Seira's stepfather. She thinks he's fake and tries too hard, but she doesn't know him too well, either. Jun is a dentist (which would explain his and Yuya's blindingly white teeth).

Shinji Hoshino: Seira's half-brother. He's ten months old and she's only seen him twice, and the first time was when he was a meat popsicle with placenta on it.

Naoki Hirohita: Seira's old boyfriend. While they never officially "broke up," they haven't kept in touch either, despite Seira's efforts. It's safe to say that it's over.

Extra Curricular Activities:
- Literature club.
- Film Club.
- Mountain climbing.

Chosen Subject:
Film Analysis.

Teacher Observations:
"Seira is a fairly eloquent girl with interesting things to say. She's lacking in the way of participation, but overall she's a responsible student who won't ask questions when a task is given. I'm afraid there isn't much else I can say about her."

Class Behavior:
Non-responsive and diligent. She'll do her work quickly, though she'll doodle instead of taking notes on off days. She will be completely dead on the first couple days of her menstrual cycle.

Classroom Clique:
Unknown.

Friends/Relationships:
Akemi Kasai: Akemi and Seira are quite tight! And Akemi is most likely the only person Seira would feel this way with. Although they met at a SASUKE tournament where they bickered over who was the best competitor, the fact is that they met at a SASUKE tournament, and it's been pretty cool since. Seira especially values that they feel open enough to be able to say exactly what they think to each other without any repercussions.

Akio Hayakawa: Akio gets under Seira's skin, and Seira tolerates it. Even though she is constantly scolding him and tugging his ear, she thinks he's kind of cute.

Eizo Horiguchi: They were once friends through Akemi, but now that Eizo and Akemi have split up, there isn't very much reason to communicate anymore; however, even though Seira is thoroughly biased for Akemi's side, their messy break-up doesn't stop them from talking from time to time anyway.

Emi Sekiyama: Although Seira and Emi share much of the same interests, their personalities are incompatible-- not that they had the foresight to see that. Emi figured out that Seira is indifferent and thick-skinned, and Seira found out that Emi is vain and bossy. They recently got into an argument, which never helps.

Kiku Mori: Seira is a little bit unsure of Kiku. Although Kiku is very friendly towards her, Seira just doesn't buy it.

Kotone Fujino: Kotone is a thorn in Seira's side, but when it comes down to it, they harbor a mutual fondness of each other. They met through their fathers; Kotone's father is a fisherman and Seira's father is a monger, and they met each other on the job. Considering that both their daughters are the same age, they brought them together one day, and lo' and behold, Seira and Kotone.

Miki Honda: Seira and Miki share a mutual dislike for each other. They try to avoid each other, but they end up in some pretty heated discussions from time to time.

Oki Takainachi: Oki and Seira share the same psychology in most circumstances. They're both very independent, and they both prefer to git-r-dun. For that reason, they're pretty compatible workers.

Fuuka Kuroki: Seira can't fathom why Fuuka would find her so intimidating, but she does. Nevertheless, since there's no reason to be mean to her, Seira is nice to Fuuka. Even though she was absolutely pissed when Fuuka spilled something on her, she's past it now. She just doesn't tread too close whenever she's carrying a liquid.

Ryo Jo: Seira is a little bit weirded out by Ryo, but she once figured, "You can only take them as you get them." She's sort of nice to him, but... well, he's a diehard hippie, and that's just not Seira's thing.

Taro Hanazawa: Taro and Seira get along just fine. There isn't a lot to dislike about him, but she doesn't take his monophobia seriously. She thinks it's dumb and not as bad as he makes it out to be.

Memorable Moments:
None, yet.
