I remember reading about Jesse Owens winning all those medals and Hitler having a prissy bitch fit over it.

Too bad I cannot magically reach into the picture and whap the person holding the sign over the head with it.

Ugh, the whole SF thing was such an embarrassing mess for all parties concerned. The sign just sort of... Embodies the collective ridiculousness of the whole thing.

I think that the issue with the sign is pretty much how as far as anyone currently knows, Tibetans aren't getting Holocaust-level treatment, so if they're trying to make a 1:1 comparison, it doesn't work so well. On the other hand, if the point is that it was stupid to let Nazi Germany hold the Olympics and it's also stupid to let China hold the Olympics (given what we do know about Tibet and also China's lack of action on Darfur), then bravo to the sign maker. Then again, I have no idea as to the intelligence level of this person, so if they were actually aiming for some kind of irony about how we did let Nazi Germany hold the Olympics, I have still failed to laugh, since there's not much indication of irony one way or the other.

Last night I watched a whole travel program about Argentina; I have no idea whether it was a reasonable view of it but Buenos Aires looks positively awesome.
