[Kaori's been thinking a lot since her last talk with Elicia, mulling over what she said, what she was forced to share. A part of her wanted wanted to believe the little girl, that the 'bad people' wouldn't hurt her here in Luceti, but as always it was hard to push aside what she saw as justified hatred in favor of that lost affection

My physical appearance? . . . Blonde, purple-eyed, of average height. My hair's pulled up in a bun.

[ That's about it, she thinks. ]

Why do you ask?

I was curious, there are times when you can tell a lot about a person and how they feel about themselves based on how they describe themselves.

[vanhossen]

I'd never thought about it that way, but it makes sense. How a person chooses his words can tell more about his personality than he might think.

[seiriald]

Exactly! So... is there someone you believe to be more physically attractive than yourself? Maybe someone you admire?

[vanhossen]

I don't give that kind of thing much thought . . . There is someone I admire, but not because of his looks.

[seiriald]

Really? Do you mind telling me why you admire him...?

[vanhossen]

Not at all. [ There's a pregnant pause as she thinks. Finally, she answers: ] I admire how he's able to express himself.

[seiriald]

... It's always wonderful to be able to express yourself. [Something she feels she isn't able to do freely anywhere she's gone.] Is it frowned upon where you're from?

[vanhossen]

It really is. [ She sounds wistful. ] No, but it's good to know self-restraint. Being too expressive can be as bad as not being expressive at all.

[seiriald]

[Kaori takes note of that wistfulness, but decides not to pull it further for now. Maybe later in the conversation if Sylvia didn't mind.] Especially when it gets you in trouble or causes damage, right?

[vanhossen]

[ Sylvia nods on her end, even if Kaori can't see it due to the voice function and all. ] Exactly. Moderation is important.

[seiriald]

But you want to be able to express yourself, right miss? [Maybe she can help a little there?]

[vanhossen]

[ Oh, she didn't think the girl would point that out. ] . . . Right. Better, anyway.

[seiriald]

Better... do you express yourself with words and emotions, or through a hobby of sorts?

[vanhossen]

I'm not as good with those as I'd like. . . . I speak through my actions. So a hobby, I suppose.

[seiriald]

A hobby, na? Like what?
