His typical outfit [Background] Nakago was born Gi Ayuru and was a member of the Hin tribe. These were foreigners in the land of Kutou and for that reason his people were looked upon as trash. They were spat upon as they passed by and called names. He was just a boy during this time and couldn’t understand the hatred for his people. He’d ask his mother for answers but nothing ever made sense to him. But reality fully struck when his home was attack. Around him people were being slaughtered. His people. Just because they were Hin tribesmen. And right before him, soldiers were raping his mother. In a moment of panic, he released an enormous chi blast on them killing the soldiers as well as his mother, the one person who had always cared for him (they had been outcasts in the tribe for some reasons due to his father who he knew nothing about). He was only eleven at this time.
The remaining soldiers took him to the palace where he was brought before the emperor. By this time, he was mostly in a catatonic state. Nothing could really awaken him. There was one thing they recognized though. This boy was one of the Seiryuu Seven. One destined to wield the powers gifted to him by the dragon god. It would be best if they kept the child close. Unfortunately, the emperor also noticed something else. That Ayuru was pretty…almost like a girl. Ayuru found the dirty hands of the emperor somehow suited him after all he had done. And so, he was cleaned up and brought to the emperor’s chambers.
The boy was molested and raped for three months until the emperor decided that he needed proof that his prize really was a Seiryuu warrior. Summoning Ayuru to him, he showed him a prisoner he had, a young girl who had been his friend and a fellow Hin tribesman. He was told that he would kill the girl if he didn’t call upon his powers again. Ayuru didn’t know what to do. The girl finally realized what would happen and smiled at him. And with that, the soldier who had her killed her. Something broke in the boy and he destroyed the area. Picking up the sword, he went to the emperor. He was cold now and cruel. He presented himself as Nakago, a warrior of Seiryuu. Four years later he requested to be made into a soldier.
He trained intensely to become strong. Already he’d begun to start using people for this needs. People were tools to him. And still his body was used nightly by the emperor. It had been five years since then but the emperor had not stopped taking him. Nakago informed him that he wished to go and fight the wars now. That the women of the man’s harem could please him greatly and would go to great length to do so. He was almost denied this until he awoke his symbol once more and the emperor changed his mind. Nakago led successful battles for Kutou. His loyalty to the country seemed clear. But through it all, he still worshipped the god of his tribe, Tenkou.
Nakago met a young girl along the way. A girl who was to be taking her first customer as a prostitute that day but had run away in fear. Knocking out the man who was attacking her, he left claiming he did not like that sort of man. He was seventeen at this time.
When Nakago was about to turn 24, he had things falling into place. He was vice-shogun with a room of his own now and the men under him were loyal to him. The emperor trusted completely. The soldiers of Kutou were divided into three. His men, the shogun’s men, and one other man’s. Another warrior came to them. His name was Tomo and he offered Nakago help in making his dreams come true faster. His power was to read the heart and cast illusions. But still, Nakago hadn’t fully agree to the help that had been offered to him. And the girl, Kaen, was brought to the palace not long after. The same girl he’d saved all those years ago. During her time there, she discovered that she was also a warrior. Soi.
On the day he turned 24, he quelled an uprising against him by the leaders of the other two thirds of the army with the aid of Tomo’s illusions. He’d been warned of this attack by Soi several days before. He turned the leaders against each other and then was challenged by the surviving man, the shogun. During the fight, he killed the man…his own father as it turned out. As the man died, he told his father his real name. The one he’d abandoned years ago. Ayuru. He didn’t shed a single tear for the man. He had also become in charge of the Kutou army. That day, he ordered Tomo and Soi to leave until the priestess came to their world.
And finally, she did. On a patrol, he came across a group of men attacking a young girl in strange clothes. They would have raped her had he not killed them. Bringing her back to the palace, he understood right away what had happened. The priestess had finally arrived in his world.
When she awoke, she attempted to kill herself. She believed she truly had been raped and she had no idea where her friend was. Everyday he took care of her. And everyday, he told her that her friend had abandoned her but that he was there for her. He would keep her safe. She grew to trust him little by little so that when her friend finally came for her, she was questioning things. That seed of mistrust that he’d placed in Yui allowed him to convince her to betray her friend by using the love she had for one of her friend’s warriors.
He continued to try and find ways to destroy the opposition, the Suzaku. He captured the whom Yui loved and drugged him into allying with them. He put in one of his fellow warriors in place of one of the Suzaku. Repeatedly, he worked to tear them apart. With one of his plans, he succeeded in destroying the summoning of the phoenix god. In the process, they lost one of their own warriors as well. There was no choice for either side. They would have to collect both shinzaho, pieces that the priestesses of Genbu and Byakko wore during their summonings, from the lands of Hokkan and Sairou.
Their first destination was to go to Hokkan, the land of Genbu. Nakago decided to allow the Suzaku to do the work for them and had yet another Seiryuu warrior track their progress. The warrior, Ashitare, followed one of the Suzaku all the way to the top of a mountain where he fatally injured the man before he was killed. However, by being killed, his wolf spirit awoke and he stole the shinzaho from them and brought it back to Nakago. Seeing no further use for the warrior, he killed him. Then he had Tomo pretend to be Taiitsukun to talk to Suzaku’s priestess to convince her that the thing about priestesses needing to be virgins was a lie and that she should come steal away Nakago’s chi by having sex with him. The girl decided to find him and go through with it.
He had dismissed everyone, telling them he would catch up with them later. When the girl arrived, she started to back out on the idea right away. Knocking her out, he attempted to go through with the rape. However, a holy red barrier appeared around her to protect her from his attempts. He decided to abandon the plan and put his armor back on and left. After all, he knew that when she woke up she would believe she had been raped. This fact he confessed to Tomo who decided to take care of the matter himself. The attempt was unsuccessful and Tomo was killed.
He moved on with the others towards Sairou where they came across one of the remaining Byakko warriors, Tatara. It didn’t matter what he did to the man, Tatara would not give up the other shinzaho. The arrival of the Suzaku presented an opportunity and he had Yui manipulate her friend into getting the shinzaho from Tatara. He left another Seiryuu to deal with the Suzaku while he had Yui prepare herself for the ceremony. On the way, she asked if he loved her and he told her yes. And so, she promised him one of her wishes.
Nakago remained behind while Yui started the ceremony. He waited for the Suzaku priestess to come forward and he went through the door. She followed and found Yui elsewhere performing the ceremony. And so, Seiryuu was summoned and the god took his priestess and his warriors back to Kutou. There, they began to prepare for war.
[Personality] He is a very calm person. To the point of being as cold as ice towards others on a general basis. This makes him look as if he doesn’t care about others and the fact is that he doesn’t. He’s focused on his goal and nothing else. Others around him are just tools to be used. He doesn’t care about anything else. This comes from his past but one thing remains. All he wants is revenge on those who have hurt people like the Hin tribe. He wants to become a god to put an end to such ways.
This means that he’s very manipulative and even abusive. It depends on what the situation calls for. He has genius level intelligence which means that he can analyze a situation to perfect to figure out what he needs to do. And because he rarely, if ever loses his temper, he can do this with a clear head. Also, he will do anything to get what he wants in the end. Kill, torture, rape…as long as his goal is achieved, it doesn’t matter to him anymore. He’s closed himself off from allowing that to bother him.
For those he needs to manipulate, he can lead them to believe he is good and someone to be trusted. He wraps them around his fingers to the point of them believing in him so strongly they will doubt others. He is willing to lie to them. Get them to believe that he loves them and cares about them. That he is the only one in the world they can rely on.
For those he needs to abuse, he will resort to anything to instill loyalty. Fear is a good tool for him. Beatings are very useful and at times he almost seems to get a sadistic pleasure from this. However, it can be very successful for him. But, no matter how he ends up using someone, he will always get rid of them somehow when they are no longer useful to him. Often this means death.
He doesn’t trust easily but for those he does trust he will allow them to see the darker sides of his personality. Only they will be aware of what he does. Only they will be allowed to see him sleep. Only they will be able to witness unguarded moments no matter how rare they actually are. Even they will not be able to see everything or know everything. And, they are not exempt from being used just like everyone else. In fact, they are more likely to be used since he is already aware of the fact that they may still be of use even if they end up failing.
Nakago is not merciful by nature. He will cut down anyone in his path who does not present to him some use to move him towards his goal. But the public image he shows to everyone is one of a regal man. Calm, quiet, capable, prepared for anything.
And he is prepared. Situations that surprise him are always ones that he ends up turning to one that is an advantage to him. He twists everything to benefit himself and is not afraid to have loses along the way. He is cruel and when he smiles it is rarely a good thing for anyone. It generally means serious pain. It is never good for him to be amused by another. For then they become his plaything. Something for him to toy with in brief moments before he moves on towards better things.
He is not a good man though he can lead people to believe it. Still, he knows how to inspire loyalty to him with little random acts of kindness. Though he is not a good person, he hates to see others being owned, others being treated as if they are only trash. He’s experienced these all before. In these rare moments, a gentle side that he destroyed years ago reappears. It also appears when he dreams sometimes. There, memories of the past resurface and sometimes, though he will never tell anyone (Soi has witnessed this) he will actually shed a tear.
In anger, he becomes extremely destructive. Wherever his anger is directed means that thing or person will be destroyed. If not now then later for certain. He bides his time if need be but not always. Often if he finds himself deeply disrespected or reminded of how he used to be treated, he will lash out in a flash of anger.
He will often appear loyal to others. The emperor…Kutou…Seiryuu… The fact is that he still worships Tenkou in secret and uses his powers to further his goal. He is loyal only to himself in the end. And no other.
[Specialties/Abilities] Nakago is a very powerful man. And not just in superhuman abilities. He also is very strong just on his own. A very talented fighter, it’s no wonder he’s the leader of the Kutou army. He’s able to wield a sword and a whip and possibly other weapons as well and he’s a skilled rider on a horse. Plus, he’s extremely intelligent, of genius proportions, and a natural soldier as well as a born leader. He knows how to inspire trust. That said, he’s a skilled manipulator and knows how to read people to do this. But, these are just his human abilities.
He has superhuman abilities that were gifted to him by Seiryuu. They appear whenever the character on his forehead appears. The main abilities he’s known for are his chi blasts. These can be small enough to just slam into someone or large enough to tear an area apart. He can kill someone easily with one of these blasts and his control over his chi levels is perfect. But while this is what he’s well known for, he can do other things with his chi.
For one, he can create barriers. Around others or around himself. Nothing can slip past these and he can bring them up in the blink of an eye. The best chance anyone has is to have an attack get close enough to him before he can manage to throw up one of these barriers. This is nearly impossible since he’s extremely observant of his surroundings almost 100% of the time. But, he can also cut off the abilities of other warriors at times. They have to be in a certain area and as long as they are in that area they cannot use their abilities. However (because this an ability he only brings out once in his world), he can only call upon this to cut off the abilities of other Celestial warriors and is presumably only able to use this in his own land.
However, he is also psychokinetic. This makes him even more frighteningly powerful. He can move objects and others with just a thought. He can also control this as easily as he controls his chi. And being psychokinetic also means that he has mastered the control over teleportation. It’s easy for him to move from one place to another with just the power of his mind.
As he starts to make his powers stronger, he also starts to have a blue aura around his body. And the character on his forehead glows.
Also, he can feel other members of the Seiryuu. When they are near and when they die.
[Affection] Nakago is actually a very cold man. He is not likely to be friendly or affectionate or anything like that unless it suits his plans.
[Fighting] While he is not one to provoke fights necessarily he is not above fighting. However, he’s very intelligent and knows how to avoid getting hurt. That does not mean he can’t be harmed. More that the task is not easy. And when he does fight, he’s a dangerous opponent to contend with. He will not hesitate to kill if it benefits him.
[Other Permissions] His mind can be read by another character however there will be consequences. Also, ask me if you have any questions about reading him or breaking his fourth wall.
[Other Facts] Nakago is not a good man. However, he may manipulate you into thinking he is. This is probably his deadliest skill because it means that he has gotten into your head. Once he’s there, it’s almost impossible to get him back out. He is also very difficult to read. One can believe he is doing one thing when in reality his intention is something else entirely. He will do all he can to get close to someone only if it suits his plans. Even then, the likelihood of him offering completely trust is next to impossible.
