Is eikaiwa still a no-no? It might be worth contacting the big schools, since they also happen to be quite flexible with times. CELTA also helps sometimes I hear.

I've been trying eikaiwa and nursery schools actually. They are taking my resume, talking with me on the phone and such, but no formal interviews or offers :/. I do have an interview with the town office near Ikebukuro station, but I was told the odds of me getting the caretaker job there was slim.

I did get a call for an interview with the Pokemon Company (this was a random act of insanity that got me an interview). I don't think I am qualified nor do I know much about Pokemon, but it is worth a try
