Summary: They all met in a cell....
“Hmm. All in favor of busting out, say ‘Aye’.”
Five ‘Aye’s were heard. The smallest boy of the group grinned like a madman. “Great. I’ll have us out in a jiff. By the way, I’m Dick, but most people know me by Robin.” He pulled a thin wire from his belt.
“I’m Wally,” the redhead introduced himself. He peered over Robin’s shoulder. “You know how to pick locks huh? Let me guess, you got caught stealing stuff?”
Robin grinned. “Maybe~ You? Why are you here?”
Wally matched his grin. “Stealing as well.”
“Oh god, you two are like a match made in heaven,” the blond in the back snarked.
“Hey, at least I can break us out!” Robin said. He twisted the wire a bit more, hearing the audible click. Robin smirked, and pushed the door open. He and his cellmates filtered out of the tiny cell.
“Whatcha you in for blondie?” Wally asked. He casually took down one of the guards that came charging towards them.
“The name is Artemis,” she snapped. “And that’s none of your business.”
“We got thrown in jail for resisting the lord’s advances,” her friend spoke up.
“Megan!” Artemis hissed. “They didn’t need to know that.” She punched another guard.
“But it is true,” Megan insisted.
“That’s quite… dishonorable of them to do that,” the taller darker skin male said.
“But I can totally see it happening,” Robin mused. “This Lord isn’t exactly one of the nicest guys around.” He leapt over a guard, landing on the shoulders of the guard behind him.
“So Mister Silent,” Robin said as he vaulted off the guard’s shoulder. “Why are you locked up?”
“… I don’t know,” the black hair boy said. “I have been locked up for as long as I can remember. I cannot even recall if I had a name.”
“That’s horrible!” Megan proclaimed.
“And you Mr. Tall, Dark and Handsome?” Wally asked the last member of their ragtag group.
“My name is Kaldur,” he said. Then Kaldur fell silent for a moment. “I’ve been thrown in here because it has been suspected that the Lord of this city is plotting to rebel against the King. I was sent to do recon and had found proof that this Lord is gathering weapons and allies and intends to march to battle within a month’s time.”
The five teens skipped stop to stare back at Kaldur.
“Seriously?” Artemis asked.
“That’s like… messed up!” Wally proclaimed.
“Okay, that’s it,” Robin said. “We need to have a serious talk as soon as we finish breaking out of here!”
