As if having your cat bit in the butt isn't bad enough, we were awakened by the doorbell ringing madly and the neighbor asking for help. Bummer! It could happen to anyone. Especially if she has Al wires instead of Cu. If your wiring is Al you need to periodically check that the connections are tight.

BTW if she were living here she would have been totally comfortable being out in PJs in the middle of the night.
