So I was at work today and I was cleaning the freezer out. The freezer is part of the department but off to the side quite a bit. Anyways, Howie (the assistant manager) starts talking about God and religion -[he's christian of some sort] and he brings of gays... and starts calling them sinners and saying that they will all go to hell and deserve

I may report him but my Boss is on vacation for the week so there's no one that I can really tell right now... :-/

honestly I think that i would report him as well.. I was going to say more but figured that i would put my foot in my mouth somewhere and decided against that.... shoe leather just doesnt taste good.

That's a reportable offense in my book, and I'm pretty hard to offend. He absolutely WOULD get in trouble for speaking that way near a customer, and it constitutes sexual harassment when spoken of an employee, too. Let it be known. You have witnesses, too, which helps.

Besides, it's not up to him to decide who gets into heaven. I've read the Bible, and nowhere does it say, "And lo, they shall come unto their time of judgement, and Howie, most righteous of assistant managers, did sit upon the seat of judgment. Then did Howie in his righteousness decree which of them should enter the gates of Heaven, and which should be doomed to the torments of Hell. Praise be to Howie for his mercy."

i have to put my angery two cent in here, i would so make an issue of it and report him, he has no right to make you feel like that in your work place. that is no diffrence from saying racial things at work, for which he would be canned and he should be canned for this too, i know you don't like to make a stink, but you know what, your in the right and you should say something to the boss because if you don't he will keep making people feel like poop.religion has no place in the work and eiher does your thoughts on homosexuals anymore then racial views do. in fact based on what i learned as a maniger that would fall under sexual harrassment, because anything that makes you feel bad aboutr your sexuality is.i mean if you over heard a co worker telling a dirty joke and it made you uncomfy you can report sexual harrassement, so a boss going off on your brand of sexual orintaion with in ear shot is defintaly cause for complaint, give him hell baby!
