Making new friends

I have trying from long to make some friends here ( Orlando, FL) . I have a small group ( all guys) from work with whom I hang out. But, I would like to have friends outside work. I do feel like hanging out with girls for a change. It was so easy to make friends when you were in school. Now, I find it tough to make new friends.

i had a similar prob when i was in Chennai. I had wonderful friends in office, but outside... nobody accepted a north Indian!

That's exactly how I felt when I left school as well. In the real world, everyone has their own lives and families to get to after work. In fact, no one at my workplace socializes after work and so I'm glad I have a ton of friends in this area.

Hey, I spotted you when I recieved an email from LJ meetup.

It's always good to meet new people, but LJ meetup in the area has been pretty dead for some time. At least you've potentially met one person in myself. Always willing to talk, even if only through lj. ^_^

If you'd like we could try and do something on the weekends. I'm usually free then, not a whole lot to do here in Orlando but depending on what you're interested in I might know somethign for you.
