these fabrics are kewl: www.reprodepot.com and www.alwaysmod.com. i wish i knew how to sew so i could make pillow covers and table linens, etc. maybe instead of actually attempting to create (as in paint) my own wall art, i'll just frame some fabric :) more craftsy, less artistic-y (is that a word?) i s'pose. but i will still give creating ( Read more... )

Yeah I wish I knew how to sew better. I can run the sewing machine but as far as cutting things, if they're not in a square I don't bother. LoL. There are some suppppppper cute fabrics here in the islands and I think I might just pick some up and make blankets for the baby. Lol. That's the easiest and probably only thing I could possibly make.

Hope your little one is feeling better.

well that is impressive that you can run a sewing machine! i'd prob sew my finger or something ;) but yes - it would be a great skill to learn. ppl that can actually make things - very cool - even a baby blanket! i've been looking for placemats for the dining room table and haven't quite found ones i really, really like - but i see all those cool fabric - if only i could make my own placemats! dang it.

gunnar is definitely better today. i think the projectile vomiting yesterday was a result of not chewing up his goldfish well enough before swallowing. we went to the park today to play in the wading pool and he had a good time :) hope you had a great day today too!

I'm a big sucker for infomercial ads too... and sadly, my husband is even more of a sucker than I am. To date, we've bought the magic bullet, the ice-cream-inside-the-cake pan (never used it), and most recently, Space Bags. LOL.

Glad to see that g-man was in a good mood despite the vomiting...

i had to look up the magic bullet to see what that was hehe ;) oh man - you have the ice cream cake pan - you gotta make one! just the name space bags make me laugh :P do you use those? i remember one of the first informercials i saw on tv was waaaay back when - and it was this set of like bands w/ tape that you were supposed to use to give you the look of a facelift !!! i just quickly googled to see if i could find anything but i can't - which is probably a good thing - it was pretty rudimentary - if you can imagine, a band going around the back of your head under your hair, tape holding the ends of the bank to your head near your temples pulling your skin back - ha!
