Exactly my thinking. ^^ I kinda liked it to, and it's my first attempt at something relatively abstract and plotless. I'm glad you like it!

i like it. Hakkai has had his dreams haunted by his loss of Kanan for so long it's almost a relief to see a change, even if the change is more loss.

That's exactly what I was trying to get at. His subconscious is basically prodding him along, trying to get him to realize maybe x years of grief is enough, and to get him to admit to the emotions we fangirls know he has for Gojyo.

Ah, Hakkai, you're so repressed... because you just know he's going to rationalize and explain it away, but he'll be thinking about it then, at least.

And I'm rambling. I'm glad you liked it, though!

Hakkai is repressed by his own choice. He refuses to admit that he cares because if he does that means he opens himself to a whole world of hurt or worse: the ones he cares for will suffer because of him.

Do they make Saiyuki plushie in Japan? Because I've never seen them in America. And I really, really want a Hakkai one. That way, I could glomp him when I need to. ^^

Thank you so much for the commment! I was particularly proud of the last line myself, and I'm glad someone else thought it was good, too. I think it was that line that really started it, I just had to write a story around that. Which led to this.
