I've never really understood why people hate dandelions so much. The high point of my day, today, while slogging through store calls for The Stupid Company was the drive up Telegraph, where the median was filled with lush-as-yet-unmown deep green grass speckled with the sparkling yellow heads of dandelions in bloom. i love dandelions. i think the look happy. plus they grow on their own as if out of nowhere!

my mother never weeded, and this drove our anal-retentive, dandelion-hating neighbor crazy! we liked to use them as barbie sunflowers.

I like dandelions and other wild flowers. I like the colors and the spontenaety. I don't see the appeal of carefully-cultivated specimens neatly lined up in rows.
