Self Image VS Percieved Image?

On Wednesday during French, it finally dawned on me how my mom sees me, via a comment from my good friend Carlton. If I had to get married right now and pick a best man, it would probably be him. I can't think of anyone I'd rather have beside me for that, despite everyone thinking he's a perverted weirdo

Strangely enough, after going to a wedding last weekend, I thought that I'd want you to be my best man. Despite the fact that I'm pretty sure that isn't very traditional.
