The package with the newspapers arrived yesterday while I was gone and my neighbor brought it over last night. She waited around while I opened it curious to see what in the world I was getting from the UK that would make me squeee like I did when she handed it to me. That's really cool. I've put away my Telegraph from the election with my others. I started putting away 'important' issues a long time ago. Just cool things to keep I suppose. :)

My grandmother would keep magazines and newspapers of important events like the assassinations of President Kennedy and of Martin Luther King. It's amazing to read through them now and I want to do the same so my grandchildren can do the same. It's fascinating to see what the impression of it was at the time as opposed to what 'history' tells us it was. The tone can be completely different.
