I am enjoying the Oscars tonight like I haven't in a long time.  I've been kinda off of award shows in the last few years but this has been nice

Not many surprises in this year's winners....am v.glad that Heath got the recognition that he'd missed out on in Brokeback year....Kate Winslet?....meh...not so impressed with her acting to be honest, never have been....as for Slumdog - am thrilled for Danny Boyle, he's a great guy.....would have preferred Mickey Rourke to win for The Wrestler but admire the heck out of Sean Penn and his acting....

Well done all concerned...didn't stay up - far too late for me after the week I've had but I'm sure I'll see it on the news more than once today!...LOL!!!..

I liked the show quite a bit more this year. They didn't take themselves so seriously but were still honoring--it actually seemed to do a better job of honoring everyone involved instead of just the winners.

And I loved having previous winners present the acting awards.
