I love Sidney Poitier. I love him, I love him, I love him.

He was my first movie star crush. Who knew from sex appeal at 12 years old, but everytime he smiled or walked - swoon!

What was that movie with the nuns? I really like that one. Actually, I like all of his movies when he was in his prime.

Lilies of the Field. Great movie. I remember watching it, To Sir With Love, and Guess Who's Coming to Dinner with my dad when I was younger. Loved them all. :)

I was hearing something on NPR about how Poitier helped pave the way for Obama by commanding respect. What a compliment!
