I didn't forget. I thought something might be different for you. I can't help myself but every year on that day I have to pause and think of everything that happened and happened since. Fate always has a hand, doesn't it?

I understand that. I wish that it wasn't so complicated for you to have conversations. Just catch ups about life, family, so many things. I do wonder if you're ok. Its good to hear that you're enjoying your work and your new leadership position. During all those struggles of getting through tests and regs, did you ever imagine this is how it would end up? I am very proud of you. I know what it took to get where you are. I hope you are proud of yourself too.

Things are good for me too. Transitional right now and its both exciting and unsettling. I remain very grateful for all the blessings I have in my life. My mom is doing better now and even though this time of year is very reflective for me (as we approach my dad's death anniversary at the end of the month), I know that in comparison to the struggles and challenges a lot of people have, that mine are minimal.
