this was the title of one in a series of abstract paintings i saw today, all titled after common yucatecan sayings. it means “better to go alone than with bad company,” and thus nicely sums up much of my life philosophy and much of my goal for the afternoon

i'm drinking agua de jamaica instead, and it is quite tasty. it is made from hibiscus flowers. i drink lots of them, so the kind people in the wireless cafe do not kick me out.

tell me things about whitman! i am quite pleased to be here, but i still miss all y'all crazy folks an awful lot.
