I kind of left it open ended because I was too chicken to decide. green light = avada kedavra, by the way, in case that wasn't clear. xD

and then Draco staggering...was he staggering in front of it, away from it, blocking it? did Hermione get hit by it?

I really really liked it!!!

I don't read much Harry Potter fics but this one was sort of bittersweet, like a fading hope that flickers and illuminates and then flickers again with time.
It's a wavering hope that dies and withers but still maintains some sort of stability.

The ending, I can't tell. Do they die or not?

Mmmm, that pretty good then.

Letting the reader decide even though you weren't sure which way it would go, it's really effective and leaves the decision as to the happily (n')ever after is true or not. I like that! :)

Although, I think I saw a few typos some where?
