[Though there isn't much action at all here. Nephry is just waiting to see if...well. If Tear makes it back at least somewhat safely.]

[Tear will be home several hours after the villagers will have been dropped off, needing to take care of her own injuries and deal with certain stubborn souls. While she wants to just lie down and sleep, it'd be best to let Nephry know she was all right and tell her about what happened to Ion.]

[That makes it...what, four or five in the morning? Nephry isn't really awake, but the door is locked. She'll hear the presumed knocking to follow, and come to open it]

Tear.

[Just about, which means that dawn will be soon to allow Tear to know how guilty she should feel for worrying Nephry.]

M-... is the Fon Master back yet? [First thing's first, Ion took highest priority.]

[It was only a couple of days after the draft that Luke showed up at House 1. He needed some time to himself, for him to realize he was truly back and to recover from his own injuries. They're still visible, too, though he tries to hide the slight limp in his right leg.

Now he's here, wanting to check on people he holds dear. One in particular... no, he shouldn't think like that. They were all "particulars" to him, even though... he would very much like to see how Tear's doing, and maybe take her out of the house for a while.

So, he knocks on the door.]

[Tear will be the one to answer the door, having been cooped up in the house since she arrived with her own injuries from the last day of the draft. It surprises her a little when she sees it's Luke at the door, given she was thinking of going to check up on him soon.]

Luke, you shouldn't be walking around...

[It'd been hard for Luke to look pleasant since the draft, but he can't help smiling a little once he sees her. Even if he does look a little flustered upon pointing out that he shouldn't walk, and he rubs his nose lightly as he replies.]

It's fine... It doesn't hurt that much anymore. [Lies, but Luke is a man and he has a pride to maintain.] So... Hey, do you think you're well enough to go somewhere with me? I know you were hurt, too...

[You men and your pride not that she can talk.] I would say I am, but are you really sure you should be going out like this?

[Tear had been home for two days. The draft still hadn't ended. And while his concern was admirable, Nephry knew that Luke's constant presence in the house would make Tear - this Tear, who barely knew him - uncomfortable. So for the time being, he's been given a break.

Which leaves Nephry alone to watch over the soldier who thinks she's her daughter.]

[The soldier has been mostly confined to bed, recovering from her many injuries as well as mentally. The look on Luke's face, not long after she had been brought home had bothered her so deeply that there were times she would simply lie awake, wondering why it was that it bothered her so much.

But it wasn't the only thing that had disturbed her. Though she had not had much opportunity to leave the house and venture about the village, being confined like she is today, there was definitely something different about 'home,' that she felt she needed to know.]

[And Nephry has been doing her best not to acknowledge the difference, for now. Until Tear was recovered enough to understand.

Which may very well be today.

Tear will get the chance to ask her questions if she's awake when Nephry comes in with lunch, on a tray.]

[Tear had woken up only minutes before Nephry would come in, actually, gazing quietly out the window out at the sky of the unusually chilly day. She didn't like to be lying here when there was so much to do, but what else could be done. When she hears footsteps coming down the hall she'll turn her head to look at the door, wondering what it was her 'mother' wanted.]

[Hubert comes to an abrupt stop upon hearing his name. Looking up, he stiffens and purses his lips. Tear. It's been a while since he last saw or talked to her.]

Yes.

Are you all right? [With all the ongoing events, she wouldn't find it surprising if he, too, was worried about the moon.]

You seem distracted.

[He gives a curt nod to the question. It's a half lie, but he won't dump his troubles onto her.]
