Seeing Earth from an airplane was weird. The endless stretch of desert beneath them was weird. "Yes," said Moist von Lipwig, who had been much less green colored in his short and very terrestrial kind of life. He had positioned himself carefully between windows, rather carefully staring straight ahead and trying to experience as little of the trip as was humanly possible. The slight inclination of his stomach to crawl into other compartments of his body it was never intended to explore were the only indication that the plane was doing things that even birds were not meant to.

"It was ever so strange and lovely. Ah. Another desert. This is a wonderful little home world you have here, gentlemen."

"Are you going to show him L2?" Quatre asked, but before there was really time to answer, the console beeped at him and the screen showed another plane, coming at them.

"Incoming!" he said, voice suddenly gone from innocent to commanding. "I wonder--it's coming into visual range in five...four...get ready to fire if we have to, Duo, quickly."
