I hate that some way or another he ends up alone. Okay, that usually doesn't last for too long but its still sad.

I like the references to what his childhood might've been like.

I really miss Ten and Donna. Donna is probably my most favorite companion next to Sarah Jane. I still find it a tad ironic in my not-so-very-long-ago "what characters are what in Doctor Who" Days I happened to mistake Donna for Sarah Jane.

It is rather depressing when you consider the big picture. But strangely it works as a lesson for life. People come and go, they're not going to be forgotten or replaced but you do move forward and meet new people. Still. Sad.

However, I'm glad you liked the fic. ♥

And I have to say I think what I liked about Donna originally was that she had a modern-day-Sarah-Jane feel about her. Particularly since she went searching for the Doctor. ;)
