Good news... not huge, but good

I lost 5 lbs this week. I was disapointed last week that I'd lost nothing & was preparing myself to be disappointed again, but I was wrong. So glad to be wrong. The negative voice in my head is telling me it's nothing, considering the HUGE amount of weight I have to lose. I'm not listening. Okay, considering the larger amount of weight you have to lose, why wouldn't you be extatic that there are *5* less pounds that you have to worry about? That is a fantastic accomplishment.

It sounds like you need to focus on the smaller incriments. Set up milestones along the way. First 20? Time to get out there and celebrate!

That way, you don't have to paralyze yourself with terror when you look at the long haul. We all do it, and we all have to find a way to move beyond it.

I say you vow to start today, get up, pat yourself on the back and say Wahoo! I lost five pounds, and don't look at this post like it's stupid! ;P
