You're right, they won't. All they'll do is nod and say "mhm" alot and then they'll try and tell you what's wrong w/you and eventually you'll start believing them and sometimes that can be bad. Mine used to tell me that my biggest problem in my life was Charlie, which it isn't AT ALL. Then she'd say "I don't feel we accomplished anything today", give me a sticker, and send me on my way. Plus, they'll put you on pills [which means artificial happiness] and while they make you feel better, they're also just that: ARTIFICIAL HAPPINESS. You want to be happy on your OWN, not 'cuz a drug TOLD you to be.
