The statue, though - that's a different story.
It's hard to keep herself from staring up at it, her expression almost a grimace before she twists it back into neutrality.]
... Hey, kid. [Without looking over, without looking away.]

... You, here?

Me, here.

Dunno. Guess it just seemed like a weird place for anyone to be. [ Even if she can hear the music, it doesn't seem she's paying much attention to it. ]

Seems like you're trying to repent for something, kid.
[She eyes the statue wonderingly, a vague chill sliding down her spine.]

She grins, but there's something oddly hollow about it this time. ]

[She pauses a moment, and then jerks her head toward the statue.]
Are you familiar with...that thing?
[She doesn't like it one bit.]

Instead she focuses on the statue when Aveil asks her that.
... Her answer comes out perhaps slightly awkwardly though. Or maybe a bit bitter. ] I guess you could say it's an old friend.

Yo. [ She says it casually, shrugging a little as if it isn't weird at all for him to appear here. ] You here too?

Kyouko, what's going on? [ He finally asked, tearing his eyes away from the surroundings to finally look straight at her. And expressing both his confusion and his anxiety. ] What is this place..?

[ There's definitely something tense in her own voice though, even as she tries to act casual about it. She doesn't seem too fazed by the sense of dread hanging in the place - perhaps she doesn't even notice it, but perhaps it's just his presence here that bothers her.
She glances over her shoulder at the statue for a moment before looking back. ]
It's where people come to atone for stuff, yeah?
[ The music is starting to sound a bit louder now - perhaps at a normal level one would listen to music too rather than the soft tune from before. Or it could just be your imagination. ]
