[ Something apparently hits the side of the communicator, since it rolls over a few times before lying somewhere camera-up, showing the sky. Not too much of a view, but some clattering sounds can be heard from a little distance

[ The concern is clearly audible in Valeria's voice as she peers not at the camera, but at the black screen of her communicator, her brows knitting further for her frustration. She had expected a lot of things in the aftermath of the fae's widespread mischief, after all, but this from Kyouko... she can really only guess what's wrong, especially considering how little they've spoken recently, but after Chie's broadcast that morning, she's got a pretty good idea she knows what it is. Concerned is putting it mildly. ]
Kyouko, hey! What happened? Talk to me! [ Because it's clear the girl isn't alright and Valeria never has been one to ask unnecessary questions in pressing situations, but especially when it comes to her friends. ]
[ Part of her doesn't even feel like answering any messages, not in this mood, but when Valeria keeps on speaking she can't help but angrily pick up the communicator again.
Her feelings twist and twist, and her expression darkens even more. ]
Hah! You already saw, right? He's gone, Valeria, he's gone! [ Another sharp laugh at herself - there's a loud sound, as if she's kicking against something. ] Shit!
[ Valeria thought as much, but it doesn't make this any less painful to watch. She's never liked seeing her friends upset and when the cause is loss, it's that much worse because she knows. She knows loss, what it feels like, and she doesn't have to guess at the emotions running through Kyouko now. She steels herself, dark eyes narrowing for the severity of the situation and a little out of resurging anger with the fae. Unwittingly give, then knowingly take, laugh, and repeat. It never gets any less sick, their game. ]
Where are you now, Kyouko? [ She's already getting up, dusting her suit jacket off with one hand, intent upon moving for the door. Dante can watch Luki for a little while. Right now, Kyouko needs her and while she's certain the girl will do her damndest to push her away in this instant, she can't ignore that need. She has to try to reach her, come what may. ]
[ There's something bitter in her tone - yes, she's trying to push Valeria away, quite obviously. Not just because Valeria disappeared practically without telling her earlier, but too because every single damn time she lets someone in, they disappear, they're sent to ruin, they're--
She laughs again, at her own bad luck, at the irony of everything involving her. It's a bitter, hollow laugh. ]
[ She's almost laughing bitterly. Almost. Oh, that idea is so funny, so very funny, that there could be anything worse than the people she keeps confiding in disappearing over and over again..
Kyouko is not fully raging now though. Maybe since she's spoken with Aveil more than most villagers. ]

[Like Homura, Aveil took the time to listen to Kyouko's messages with the other villagers.]
It could be worse.
