Well, it's been a while...

forty-three weeks according to my LJ home page. That's just 2 months shy (okay, 2 months, 1 week) of a year...a long time for me I suppose. I don't know why I haven't felt the need to write. Maybe cause I thought I was doing fine on my own (and with just venting to my bestie and my biffle when I needed it, which is often, I suppose

moves are exciting but incredibly stressful. When I moved from FL to WA I found that if possible holding a yard sale and selling any furniture is generally a good idea. Moving furniture is terrible and you might end up with less space than you'd like. The money you get from selling it can go towards new things, but make sure you have some money set aside for replacing things when you get there. This whole moving business is pretty expensive. If you can get rid of your furniture you might want to consider renting part of a trailer. That's what I did and I found it had a better deal than renting a uhaul. For us and moving renting a uhaul and towing my car behind it (b/c my car cannot tow anything) + gas would be a nightmare. My friends' parents were telling me that driving something like that would be scary for them and they didn't recommend it. Instead I rented 5 feet out of a 28 foot trailer and then drove the rest of the way in my smaller car which I was very comfortable with. Stuff like computer and pets went in the car with me.

I'm so happy, excited and jealous for you. :P

You will be missed terribly but good for you for getting out of the black hole that is Florida. And trust me, when my money starts rolling in there will be visits made.
