Come on, Jay-Z does the spoken-word introduction. It's gotta be good. It sounds a lot like their last album, but you can tell they're evolving.
While it does have a one-line hook in every song, there are quite a few good one-liners. "Wouldn't you rather be a widow than a divorcee?" "I thought I loved you, but it was just how you looked in the light." "One day we'll get nostalgic for disaster." "Thanks for the memories even though they weren't so great."
I think there are a couple of songs that sound quite a bit like Panic! in that extremely produced, borderline over-produced way. See "Thnks fr th Mmrs," "The (After) Life of the Party," and "Bang the Doldrums" (this one, especially).
But overall, I think it's a good pop punk album. I think you'd like it, especially if you liked their last release.
