Garlic is definitely one of my more favorite food enhancers. C: I absolutely love the flavor.

And I can never deny a good garlic bread with a fresh dish of pasta. ♥

And an actual Garlic festival? I'd pay to see that someday. XD

Here's a handy list of festivals around the continent. Or you could just wait for the odor to hit you.

Would recommend San Francisco restaurant The Stinking Rose. Great atmosphere and an entirely garlic-based menu, including desserts. Mmmm.

On the downside of garlic... if you have an allergy or intolerance to it (as one of my relatives does), your options at most restaurants either dwindle quickly or are non-existent, and a surprisingly large number of processed foods at your local supermarkets are off limits, too.

Ubiquity can be a curse as well as a blessing. My sympathies to your relative, Craig.

I do hope that your relative has someone willing to flimp garlic.

I love garlic. Went to a local garlic festival about five years ago, where I finally tried garlic ice cream (meh).

I think rosemary would be one of my runners-up. I love that flavor, and it especially brings out the best in potatoes.

I'm all about the rosemary. Evon dried some earlier this summer, and the house smelled delightful.

Ditto on rosemary. I almost always grind some up and rub it on if I fix steaks (it's garlic and paprika for pork chops).
