Now didn't I start off this month so cocky about how I had released myself from the Romantic Mythos? "Seas have their source, and so have shallow springs, and Love is Love, in beggars and in kings," so the song goes, and here I was disbelieving it ( Read more... )

lovely scarf. I just decided today to haul it over to etsy too! I've been working on upgrading my shop forever, meaning I never put anything in it and thus sell nothing through it. I listed 5 things today and hope that it will work out over there. I CANT WAIT to see your knuckles. mark has been contemplating what to get on his for years. mostly he mentions HOME WORK... as a balance between home and work, the two most important things in his life, and also so when the kids are at that stage he can show the knucks and they will have to do their homework or get in trouble from dad. hahahaha.

I know exactly what you mean about not updating. It (my own site) really was more infrastructure than I was interested in maintaining. Etsy provides me with that infrastructure, ie, I just plug in the info and there it is. The thing with etsy is, unless you bring your own following (and I imagine you just might :) you have to do a lot of promotion to get traffic. Yes I have to learn about the best way to maximize my etsy potential! I shall read the forums. I eventually do want to get my own shop up and running again though.

That's so funny about HOME XXXX. It's like wheel of fortune, guess the phrase!

I would *LOVE* a copy of it! :) What's your favorite out of the last batch I sent you? Is there anything more of any of them you'd like?

John Renborn
Eno & Cale
but to be honest, I got mixed up which batch was which. My all time fave from you was the Dulcimer stuff.
I have been listening to Elizabethan songs. they are so cool! You can see early phases of all that Romance (although not the earliest. I have read my Gottfried von Strasbourg...)
I will definitely send you one then. As for more music, it's hard to pick not knowing the depth of the resource. ;) Surprise me!
Oh yeah, and did you know Hungarian gypsy music totally rocks?
