Sumner's birthday is the 4th, but he was ready to come earlier, if you recall. :) Today we are getting all kinds of fun party stuff and tomorrow I shall bake him a cake that he can smoosh his face and hands in to his hearts content. I cannot wait to get all messy sticky with him!

I remember that entry so well, how nervous, how excited, I was for you. How I waited to know that all was safe and well, to see the pictures of the little nubbin, no longer a nubbin, but a boy.
You are my family. Not my blood family, but better, my soul, my spirit family. My nephew was born that day, to my lovely sister, my dear friend...I won't forget.
